This is an Important puzzle piece as to what will happen to the 5 unfaithful virgins!

 Revelation 12:17

A better understanding would be:

And the dragon was enraged at the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children that were left behind; who were commanded to keep the commandments of God and to cling to to their testimony of Jesus. And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea.

This is a reference to the 5 unfaithful virgins who are not let into Zion (right away), but if they remain faithful then they will be after 3.5 years as it's written in Daniel 7. Meanwhile the 5 faithful virgins will be saved in the wilderness AKA the greator Exodus which is the start of Zion!
